The rout is on. Both the House and Senate will be in solid Democrat majority status come January, and the Trump agenda will be dead on arrival no matter what he tries to do. Trump himself will no doubt be impeached, at least once, but my guess would be twice or more.
If you stay in office, Mr. Trump, the presidency will absolutely be lost to the Democrats in 2028, and not just lost, but lost to the party’s extreme faction. AOC would actually be a welcome relief from the other Democratic Socialists who will be vying for the job.
JD Vance will by then be so tarnished by you and your grating personality, coupled with your failing tariff and war policies, that he won’t stand a chance of winning. UNLESS…
… you resign immediately and let Vance take over as president. He can then appoint Marco Rubio as vice president, and the two of them would be a formidable pair of candidates going into 2028. It would also give voters time to forget how much they came to resent and, yes, despise you. But you have to act fast.
Both the House and Senate are required to approve whoever the new president nominates as vice president under the 25th Amendment. That gives you until the end of the year to resign for health reasons. If you wait until 2027 or 2028, when the Dems have solid Congressional majorities, Rubio will never be approved as VP.
Back in September during your self-proclaimed Trump-a-Palooza, I made this same call for you to resign. I repeat: Time to go, Mr. Trump.
You have ample health reasons to resign honorably. I’ve seen your swollen ankles, and if those don’t augur congestive heart failure, or some form of heart problem, I’d be shocked. I’ve suffered swollen ankles as well due to ticker troubles, and yours are worse than mine. I’m no doctor, but I’m not stupid either. Been there, suffered that.
Early indications are that Trump is blaming his huge midterm losses on everyone and everything except himself. This is sad. On Truth Social, he wrote: “I wasn’t on the Ballot and if I was, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
So sad. He still doesn’t get it. Time to retire to Mar-a-Lago and spend your days golfing, Mr. President. Save the GOP … and the country.
