Iran is now claiming sole proprietorship over the Strait of Hormuz. In addition, it has shown that any vessel that tries to navigate waters belonging to Oman will get droned upon and disabled.
Hmmmm…great war, there, Mr. President.
“The management and full restoration of maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz is Iran’s responsibility,” asserted Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi today via Iranian media. “No other country or entity has any responsibility or authority in this matter.”
The announcement comes after two days-plus of Iran and the U.S. exchanging volleys over Iran’s assertion of control of the Strait, which basically involves firing upon any vessel that tries to elude its authority (as noted above).
Prior to the Foreign Minister’s statement, President Trump warned on Truth Social: “There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started,”
That point may be now. At the very least, the U.S. should restore its naval blockade to keep Iranian vessels from plying their oil trade and enriching the IRGC and Mullahs running Iran.
