‘There’s No Deal Until There’s a Deal’ — None Dare Call the Putin-Trump Alaskan Summit a Failure

President Putin of Russia spoke first, praising the “neighborly” nature of today’s summit with President Trump in Alaska.

Then, Trump took the stage and said pointedly, “There’s no deal until there’s a deal.” Then he went on to mention that several points were agreed upon, but he never explained what they were.

What we had, after three hours of discussions between Trump and his team and Putin and his team, is basically status quo ante.

No second meeting was announced as well as absolutely no details about any agreements between the two leaders.

The so-called news conference following their meeting lasted maybe 20 minutes, and the leaders exited without taking any questions.

I worried in an earlier post that the result of the meeting might be “obfuscation” by Trump and his team. Instead, we got an admission of failure that the mainstream media refuses to recognize.

PS Fox’s Sean Hannity has a one-on-one with Trump at 9 p.m. ET. Perhaps some details will come out of that interchange.
