Trump Kowtows to Another Dictator

Here we go again, Trump and his fawning over those with dictatorial powers.

First, he laid out the red carpet for Vladimir Putin in Alaska and got his clock handed back to him. Then, he went to China to suck up to Xi Jinping, and he immediately halted an arms shipment to Taiwan after the Chinese dictator told him the island was none of America’s business.

Now, he’s resurrecting his partnership with Kim Jong Un, dictator of North Korea who sends his opponents to the firing squad. He’s basically canceling the annual joint U.S.-South Korean military exercises because Kim complained about them.

And Trump resents it when people label him King or Emperor? He routinely kowtows to those with the ultimate power. Now, does this mean that Trump aspires to the same level of absolute authority? I’ll leave that answer to you.

Trump is also rumored to be retaliating against North Korea for declining to help with the war in Iran. In a social media post, the president said that Seoul did not “join us in the Denuclearization of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”  In contrast, he wrote that Kim Jong Un is reliably “unthreatening and respectful” so long as he, Donald Trump, is in the White House.

“These exercises are not only costly, with much of these costs paid for by the United States of America (as usual!), but send a signal that is totally inappropriate and hostile, to a Country that, as long as Donald J. Trump has been President, has been unthreatening and respectful,” he noted.

In other news, Trump is pulling the lone U.S. aircraft carrier from the Pacific-Asian theater. Recall that he also withdrew U.S. troops from Germany when their chancellor complained about the war in Iran.
