Soviet-Style Censorship Grips the Nation

Amy

When I first heard that Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy had run an ad against his opponent — Amy Acton — featuring comments by her mother, I figured that was something people in Ohio should weigh in on.

Oh, no! It immediately became a nationwide political and social crisis deserving of — censorship! Don’t let anyone view the ad; just use its existence to show what a scumbag Ramaswamy is.

The video itself has been almost completely censored from the internet. It took me almost an hour to find an actual link to it, and the link points to a post on Facebook. Fortunately, I have a Facebook account I never use, so I was able to view the ad.

My opinion? I couldn’t care less what Ramaswamy does or whom he quotes. Is it tasteless to feature his opponent’s mother calling her a liar? Probably, but not in the nitty-gritty world of politics.

I actually only developed the urge to view the ad when I heard President Trump saying on TV that, were his mother alive and calling him a liar in an ad, it would be rerun by every media outlet in the country and used to call for him to resign. You would watch it 24/7.

How sad but true. That’s what’s so hypocritical about the whole issue.

Go ahead, try finding the ad on Google. All you’ll find are anti-Ramaswamy diatribes from almost every news outlet and every Democrat — even some George Bush Republicans.

Welcome to the Soviet Socialist State of America. We’ve taken censorship to the ultimate level.
