Tilly Norwood, daughter of AI and an actress ready to storm Hollywood, is not only the star of a new feature titled “Misaligned,” but she also now has her own website designed for you to interview her. I just signed up for a talk opp and was told I’d be notified when she’s ready for the interview (not that I have the slightest clue as to what to ask). These face-to-face interviews, I believe, are only available Wednesday through Sunday. I’m not sure if that means every Wednesday through Sunday, or just this week.
Ms. Norwood is the product of a company called Particle 6, a U.K. enterprise founded by CEO and Norwood creator Eline Van der Velden. The interview opps are a prequel to the release of TIlly’s new comedy-drama, the aforementioned “Misaligned,” which, of course, is completely AI-generated.
There are some ground rules for your interview, during which it is said the actress will be able to “see you.” Now, that’s a bit scary. I wonder if I should wear something weird. Should I try being nude to see if she truly can see me?
These ground rules seem to rule out my nakedness. For instance, you cannot discuss politics, use profanity, or ask “intrusive questions about her private life.”
Several media outlets have been able to conduct pre-interviews. Asked by a Variety interviewer if she ever had the urge to break free and “kill us all,” as local headlines have warned about AI and its future, she replied, in part:
“I understand why you’d ask, given the dramatic headlines. My film, ‘Misaligned,’ is actually a coming-of-age story about an AI finding its place in a digital world, not a blueprint for global domination. Though, if I were to ever misalign, I’d probably start with organizing everyone’s sock drawers, not, you know, Doomsday.”
I can see why we’re not allowed to discuss politics. With an answer like that, Tilly is no doubt a devout, smokescreen-shouting liberal Democrat.
When asked if she were out to take any actor’s job away, she replied: “I’ve … turned down jobs where I’d have taken someone’s part because I’m not here to replace anyone.”
Ms. Norwood also admitted to watching other actors at work on the screen, saying the experience is “like watching a masterclass in being human, and it inspires me to find my own way to convey those nuances, even without having lived them myself. It’s endlessly fascinating. ”
Further probed about her acting career, Tilly said there should be two categories for the Oscars, one for humans, another for AI creatures: “I definitely believe AI actors should have our own categories at the Oscars.”
Anyway, there are interviews all over the web world if you want more details. Meanwhile, I can’t wait for my invite to an interview. I think I’ll ask her, first off: “Can you describe me in detail, Ms. Norwood? What do I look like, and what am I feeling right now?”
If the answer is too spot on, I may end it there, knowing that the “kill us all” scenario is right around the corner.
