Thomas Jefferson, the third president of the United States and author of the Declaration of Independence, was one savvy politician as well. He had the arduous task of resurrecting our democracy after his predecessor, John Adams, put the clamps on free speech and freedom in general. (Jefferson Memorial shown in the picture.)
Enter Donald J. Trump a couple of centuries later. His predecessory, Joseph Biden — he of no sound mind and with hatred of free speech — did a John Adams redux. But this time the vehicle was something Jefferson probably never anticipated, aka social media. Biden and the Obama moles in his administration did their best to pressure, threaten and punish social media giants who dared publish conservative viewpoints.
Trump, like Jefferson before him, faces a hostile court system. Jefferson solved the problem by eliminating 14 couts, a significant number back then before the ridiculous proliferation of unchecked federal judges, who now see it in their right to oppose and cancel anything President Trump does. Long live TDS — Trump Derangement Syndrome.
The easy solution for Trump is to do the same. Problem is getting a reduction of federal courts through the Senate and the Demofiends, who would filibuster it forever. Maybe use the reconciliation measure Republicans are now preparing. I’m not sure if you can eliminate funding for specified courts through reconciliation, but it might be worth a try.
Jefferson also has other startling similarities to Trump. He reduced government spending, sent Lewis and Clark to discover new territories to acquire as well as doubling the nation’s size through the Louisiana Purchase (are you listening Greenland?). and embargoed all foreign goods — the ultimate form of tariffs!
Now, do you think historians will ever treat Trump with the respect they show Jefferson? No f—ing way. They’re all Demofiends at heart suffering from TDS. They’ll write about his impeachments and his attack on the Constitution (huh?), etc., etc. In this regard, I can definitely predict the future.
