Someone in the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), one of a score of federal agencies assessing the results of the B-2 bunker-buster attack on Iran nuclear sites, took a tidbit out of a preliminary report to create a media firestorm questioning the entire operation.
CNN, co-chief with MSNBC as Trump-hating media crisis mongers, ran with this tidbit to create the conclusion/illusion that the massive air attack on Iran’s nuclear-enrichment sites was basically a failure. The other liberal media were quick to jump on board.

Result: An almost universal media conclusion that Trump failed — and lied — once again.
The Trump Administration has been trying to do damage control ever since, and appears to be losing on every front. The media are convinced of the operation’s failture and will keep repeating this assessment no matter what Trump or his allies say or do.
This morning, Department of Defense Chief Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs Chair General Dan Caine attempted to show that the sites were indeed literally “obliterated.” The media wanted no part of it.
