Today, Trump — while throwing water on reporters’ questions on whether the U.S. would use force in the Iran-Israeli conflict — announced that Iran had agreed to negotiations in the White House. Iran immediately shot back and said it would never “grovel” before Trump.
Even the Wall Street Journal, owned by the now left-leaning Murdoch family, is urging the president to take advantage of this rare opportunity and blast the Fordow complex to smithereens.
I’m with the WSJ 100 percent, but let’s see who wins this battle — the ghost of Neville Chamberlain or the man who occupied the White House from 2017 to 2021.
PS I’ve been getting Chamberlain’s infamous quote wrong: It’s not “peace in our time” but “peace for our time.” Sorry.
