Kristi Noem may be gone as Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), but her largesse lives on. While in office, she leased two jets for her personal use, but it now appears that only one remains.
Anyway, the White House announced this week that NoemAir will be taken over for use by First Lady Melania Trump and cabinet members.
According to a statement from DHS, it appears that after Noem leased the two jets, one was purchased by the department: “ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement, part of DHS] purchased this plane before Secretary Mullin was confirmed. This aircraft will be available to cabinet members who need secure command and control and rapid long-range mobility.”
Former Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R., Okla.), referenced above, replaced Noem as head of DHS after she was fired.
Noem used the plane(s) to traverse the country, promoting herself in the company of personal aide (lover?) Corey Lewandowski.
