Trump Wins as Hamas Agrees to Release All Hostages and Begin Negotiations on a Deal. I Was Wrong … Maybe.

There’s breaking news that Hamas has signaled it is ready to release all hostages and begin negotiations with Trump and Israel.

The president’s deadline, announced earlier today, of Hamas’s needing to agree to a deal by Sunday, 6 p.m. ET, appears to have brought about this development, proving me potentially wrong in my earlier assessments — if everything pans out..

As details emerge, I will continue this post, but for now, let me offer my probably useless congratulations to the president for pulling off a potentially huge victory for Israel and for peace.

The devil is always in the details, however, so we need to see exactly what Hamas is willing to accept as part of any deal.
