Trump Orders Two Nuclear Subs to Relocate toward the Russian Capital in Response to War Threat

It’s not quite Slim Pickens riding atop a nuclear bomb over Russia, but President Trump has a message for Russia and its former president — we don’t take your threats lightly.

Slim Pickens was the pilot of an American airplane in Stanley Kubrick’s classic, “Dr. Strangelove.” Donald Trump is not in an acting role, but he thinks threats of war from inside Russia’s hierarchy shouldn’t be taken lightly.

When Trump recently announced he was giving Russia another week to 10 days to come to the table over Ukraine, former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev issued a warning over Trump’s latest ultimatum, saying each new U.S. ultmatum is “a threat and a step towards war.”

That’s when Trump decided to jumble the U.S. nuclear posture regarding Russia. He ordered tthe two shipts to move to “appropriate regions” to signal the U.S. response.

On Truth Social, Trump wrote: “I have ordered two Nuclear Submarines to be positioned in the appropriate regions, just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that. Words are very important, and can often lead to unintended consequences,”

If Trump truly wants Putin to agree to end the Ukrainian conflict, he will need repeated shows of military might — the one thing Putin understands.
