Trump Haters Go Wild on Social Media as They Speculate on the President’s Death in His ‘Absence’

“Out of sight, out of mind” is a popular expression, as is Mark Twain’s quotation about his demise: “Reports of my death are greatly exaggerated*.”

When President Trump went “out of sight” on TV starting Wednesday, it became more than an “out of mind” scenario. It became “greatly exaggerated” reports of his death. At least it did on social media.

A TikTok video that gathered more than 600,000 likes said that there were no official images from Trump since Tuesday morning, while some 158,000 X/Twitter posts including the phrase ‘TRUMP IS DEAD’ and 42,000 stating ‘TRUMP DIED’ were made, according to a report by Newsweek.

Trump, however, was seen Saturday playing golf with his granddaughter Kai, she of Republican National Convention fame. Trump himself on Sunday wrote on Truth Social, “NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE,” his capitalization.

So much for wishful thinking by Trump Haters.

*What Twain actually said was, “The report of my death was an exaggeration.”
