The man I voted for three times because of his awareness of the world’s realities — and his willingness to use American force to make the world a safer place — resurfaced this evening as U.S. forces joined Israeli forces in a joint attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, which President Trump — THE MAN! — announced were “totally obliterated.”
Iran, meanwhile, pooh-poohed it all, saying it had already withdrawn all personnel, along with enriched uranium, from the three sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

Trump clarified that six bunker-buster bombs were dropped on Fordow, while missiles from submarines 600 miles away targeted the other two sites. Trump also said the choice was now up to Iran whether to pursue peace or implement policies that would lead to ever more deadly devastation on that nation.
A statement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu summed up what I have felt all along — “First comes strength, then comes peace.” Amen.
Unfortunately, I switched over briefly to CNN to get that channel’s take, and I was fed fear and loathing by one commentator who predicted Iran would decimate U.S. forces throughout the Middle East in response. If they try, I’m pretty sure Trump has U.S. forces ready and able to repel advances and make Iran sorry it ever felt it could retaliate.
PS The swirling ghost of Neville Chamberlain can now return to its earthly bunker to rest in peace of another sort.
