The Pause That Refreshes … My Fear Than Iran Will Play the Obama-Biden Fiddle to Win the ‘Peace’

Iran envoys are already scheduled to meet with representatives of the major European players, including England, France, and Germany, on Friday over resolving the war with Israel.

No doubt there will be some joint call for a ceasefire emanating from the proceedings, with the Ayatollah’s lackeys no doubt making promises they have no intention of ever keeping.

With this in the background, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced to the media today that it will take the president up to two weeks to decide what role the U.S. might play in the Iran-Israeli conflict, if any.

This doubtless means that Trump is waiting for “one big beautiful deal” with Iran that will keep alive his pledge to avoid getting the U.S. involved in military actions abroad.

This, of course, is the Obama-Biden playbook redux: Get Iran to make promises not to develop a nuclear weapon and, voilà, we have “peace for our time.”

I sincerely hope that Trump is not that anxious to play the negotiation card that he allows Iran, under the guise of a deal not to develop any atom-based weapons, to go about its merry little business of “death to the Little Satan” and “death to the Great Satan,” Israel and the United States, respectively.

Fortunately, Trump keeps repeating that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon, so let’s hope in this two-week period he unleashes his B2 bomber force to finish the job of making sure Iran has no means of enriching uranium to the weapons-grade level.
