TACO Redux? Will Trump Chicken Out Again on His Latest Round of Tariff Threats and Escalations?

The whole episode earned Trump the sobriquet of TACO — “Trump Always Chickens Out.”

As much as I was expecting that nickname to hold true in the Iranian nuclear arms build-up, it didn’t. Instead, the B-2s took flight.

But here we are with the tariff moratorium already history, and Trump once again announcing heinous tariff levels that will take place August 1 unless the other parties make deals.

The question thus arises: Will Trump chicken out again and announce some new type of extension?

Opinions are divided, so I guess we just have to wait and see.

August 1 is less than three weeks away. Bring out the pico de gallo.
