The Demofiends have always had their farther-left contingent. For a long time, that gang was led by millionaire Senator and socialist Bernie Sanders.
In 2020, when the Demofiend Party feared an election loss if Sanders were the nominee, they engineered an electoral coup in South Carolina to makle clueless Joe Biden the frontrunner, though prior to the coup, he had failed to garner any delegates.

More recently, Sanders and his ideology have been joined in the House — and the hip — by AOC, aka Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, aka Sandy. For the first part of the year, AOC actually appeared to be a frontrunner — if not the frontrunner — for the 2028 presidential nomination derby.
That is, until the appearance of Zohran Mamdani, an avowed Democrat Socialist but in truth a communist to the core, in the New York mayoral nomination race. Mamdani upended the whole Demofiend scenario by taking out Andrew Cuomo by double digits.
Now, Mamdani is the darling of the Demofiends. Of course, if he’s elected and has his way, we’d all be forced to shop at government markets and live in communal housing.
There’s some hope that Cuomo as an independent might be able to take out the commie in the November general election, but in the meantime Mamdani is taking over the Demofiend Party heart and soul.
Don’t they remember the debacle of George McGovern, a farther-left idiot but nowhere near a commie who lost in a landslide in 1972 to Richard Nixon, who would resign in disgrace two years later?
I almost hope Mamdani wins and detroys New York City, which would then probably propel the Demofiend Party into joining the Whigs in oblivion
