Phase 2a of Eternal MidEast Peace Now Allots Half of Gaza to Hamas — What Happened to Disarmament?

With Vice President JD Vance in Israel to head up the U.S. peacekeeping delegation, dramatic change is already at hand.

News emerges that the U.S. and Israel have agreed to a plan whereby Israel will get half of Gaza to govern and Hamas the other half. the violent one. Only the Israeli half will be redeveloped.

At the same time, the White House — covering up for Trump’s initial effervescence about his phone call with Putin last week — now says that the Russian dictator was not being “honest” with the president.

Gee, you think?

That phone call was Phase 2a of Putin playing Trump like a fiddle (Phase 1 being Alaska), while Phase 2a of the Gaza peace deal now sees Hamas as being too tough to disarm, though no one is admitting that.

The Treasury Department today also announced new sanctions on Russian oil companies, evidently as a push to get Putin to the peace table.

Trump son-in-law and peace negotiator Jared Kushner said the plan will create “a new Gaza in order to give the Palestinians living in Gaza a place to go, a place to get jobs, a place to live.”

Arab nations are opposed to the plan since it will give Israel a permanent presence in Gaza as the de facto rulers.

So much for that coalition of Arab and Muslim nations that gathered with Trump in Egypt to sanction the peace plan.
