Kai Trump, the President’s Granddaughter Who Gained Fame at the RNC, to Make Pro Golf Debut

Kai Trump in the summer of 2024 appeared at the Republican National Convention (RNC) to speak on behalf of her grandfather, Donald Trump, who was soon to become the GOP candidate for president — and eventual winner in November.

In the aftermath of her speaking performance, Kai gained millions of social media followers and gained additional fame for her proficiency at golf, which she grew up playing at her grandfather’s numerous golf courses.

The high school senior, now 18, is back in the news, ready to make her professional golfing debut tomorrow at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla., at an LPGA event hosted by Annika Sorenstam.

She’s not there necessarily as a might-be champion, or even a contender, but for name recognition. She’s not ranked on any professional women’s golfing chart higher than 461st (bottoming out at 1,295).

Kai is the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife, Vanessa, who is now a Tiger Woods flame.

“She’s a fantastic golfer,” President Trump has said of Kai. “Someday, she’ll be able to beat her grandfather. I’m not sure when that will be.”
