Iran Failed to Read the Trump Warning Label: Negotiations End in 60 Days from April 12

President Trump gets kudos for sticking to his self-imposed deadline on Iran to make a deal on its nuclear enrichment, specifically, to stop the process toward a nuclear weapon. On April 12, he gave Iran 60 days to come to an agreement. On June 12, after the 60 days had passed, Israel launched a massive attack on Iran.

The day after Israel’s air assault, 20 top Iranian military commanders and six top nuclear scientists lay dead. In addition, Israel targeted Iran’s nuclear facilities as well as its ballistic missile sites. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the world that Operation Rising Lion would continue until the job is done.

President Trump, in an effort to assure supporters that he is not planning to get the United States involved in a Middle Eastern war, continued to talk of negotiations with Iran, but at the same time used the word “excellent” to describe Israeli’s strike. He added that there was “more to come.”

“Iran should have listened to me when I said — you know I gave them, I don’t know if you know but I gave them a 60-day warning and today is day 61,” the president told  news channel CNN. “They should now come to the table to make a deal before it’s too late. It will be too late for them. You know the people I was dealing with are dead, the hardliners,”

Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamanei vowed severe consequences for both Israel and the U.S.
