This whole Epstein files brouhaha gets “curiouser and curiouser” as I delve into it. Actually, it becomes increasingly twisted and bizarre the more I watch news segments featuring the files and/or Epstein as the subject matter.
Exhibit A: A segment on NewsNation Wednesday night. The host was interviewing a retired medical examiner for the FBI, and the subject matter was Jeffrey Epstein’s suicide.

A couple of matters were discussed. One involved the hyoid bone in the neck, which rarely is broken in a hanging suicide, more likely in a strangulation. The other was the position — sitting — in which Epstein was reportedly found after his suicide.
Exhibit B: A news interview with Department of Justice (DOJ) officials on the infamous “Memo Monday” when it was declared that there was no client list left behind by Jeffrey Epstein.
Dan Bongino, deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and his boss, Kash Patel, FBI director, both sat stonefaced in front of a TV camera and declared that Epstein absolutely committed suicide.
Both seemed nervous and squirelly, as if they were two juveniles hauled in for questioning and forced to admit to crimes they never committed. In short, I didn’t believe them.
Exhibit C: This week’s firing of the head of ethics for the DOJ. The termination comes in the midst of a tumultuous time for the DOJ and the FBI.
Following “Memo Monday,” it was reported that Bongino was ready to resign. At the same time,on Truth Social, President Trump posted instructions for the DOJ and FBI to “not waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about,”
These three examples are just the tip of the iceberg. There is also the video of Epstein’s cell (pictured above) on the night of his reported suicide.
First, it was reported that one minute had somehow disappeared from the hourlong video leading to the discovery of his body. Later on,some observers reported that there were actually three minutes missing.
Also, what is the reason for the termination of DOJ ethics director Joseph Tirrell? No reason was ever given. Was it because he was creating waves about the whole Epstein files sordid affair?
Another question: Is Trump and his stand-down order on the Epstein files part of the D.C. cover-up culture? Perhaps too many big names were involved in Epstein-sponsored sex parties, and even without a client list, the files might reveal their involvement?
Let’s see all the files ASAP.
PS I forgot about the unexplained firing of Maurene Comey, prosecutor for the Southern District of New York who helped bring the case against Jeffrey Epstein and is the daughter of Trump-hater James Comey, former FBI director.
