In a Conversation Picked Up By a Hot Mic, Putin Predicts His Immortality, Xi Planning to Live to 150

Left to right, Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Kim Jong Un.

They’re planning to rule the world forever, Russia’s Vladimir Putin and China’s Xi Jinping, according to a conversation picked up by a hot mic before the military parade in Beijing celebrating the end of World War II.

“With the development of biotechnology, human organs can be continuously transplanted, and people can live younger and younger, and even achieve immortality,” Putin was quoted as saying by Bloomberg, citing his interpreter.

Xi Jinping was a bit more modest in his longevity claims, saying “people rarely lived to 70, but these days at 70 years you are still a child,” before predicting that in “this century, there’s a chance of also living to 150.”

According to reports, Xi laughed at what was being predicted when all was said and done.

A no-laughter Putin probably is planning to live and rule forever, so if it takes 100 years to win the Ukraine war, no problem. He’ll still be around.

Both men are now 72.
