Bondi and Patel Send Message to Immigration Scofflaws: New Sheriffs in Town

Friday, April 25, marked a sharp — and much needed — escalation in the enforcement of the nation’s immigration laws. Two judges were arrested, one for obstructing justice in her courtroom, and the other for harboring an illegal alien gang member on his property and shielding him from the law.

The liberal media went berserk, of course, which left me wondering what exactly the word liberal means anymore. At one time a liberal stood for programs to help the underprivileged and afflicted. Now, it’s been taken over by progressive (another interesting word) politcians, who view it as a means to increase the Democrat voter rolls, even if it means infesting the country with thugs, rapists and murderers.

FBI Director Kash Patel announced Friday morning that his agents had arrested Milwaukee Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan for obstructing justice in the case of Edouardo Flores Ruiz, who was facing charges of domestic violence and was an illegal alien. ICE (Immigrtion and Customs Agency) officers waited in the wings to take  him into custody. The case was being heard April 18 when the events unfolded.

According to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, Judge Dugan first left the bench to excoriate the ICE agents and then escorted Ruiz and his defense attorney through her chamber and out a rear door to escape. He was, however, tracked down and arrested.

The day before, a former judge in New Mexico, Joel Cano, and his wife were arrested for haboring an illegal alien on their property. Cristhian Ortega-Lope, the alien, is an alleged member of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua.. The specific charge the husband and wife face is for tampering with evidence.

“I think some of these judges think they are beyond and above the law and they are not, and we’re sending a very strong message today,” Bondi said Friday.

Where is Joe Biden’s autopen when the Demofiends most need it?
