Fox News, Left-Leaning Already, Could Become CNN Redux if Rupert Dies Before Changing the Family Trust

To my way of thinking — and of viewing TV news — Fox lost its televised conservative soul when it fired Tucker Carlson and Dan Bongino. True, it kept Marc Levin, as conservative as they come, but that was probably because he’s Jewish, and the company didn’t want to be charged with playing the race/religion card.

Be that as it may, Fox in its many forms — the Wall Street Journal, Fox News, and the New York Post (though less so) — has of late manifested a more left-leaning view, even a decidedly anti-Trump view in many instances. A lot of this shift to the left, though execs may describe it more as a move to “the center,” is due to the influence of the owner’s kids. some if not many of them brainwashed liberals.

Rupert Murdoch

Fox is currently operated as a Irrevocable Trust in Nevada with five family members being the controlling trustees. Founder and Father Rupert Murdoch, 94, controls four out of eight votes, four designated children with one each. When Rupert dies under terms of the trust, each kid gets one more vote.

Fearing a leftward transformation if the current trust holds sway, Rupert has tried — and is still trying on appeal — to reword the trust so son Lachlan, the conservative scion, gets all four of Rupert’s votes.

Now, under a trust, it would normally take a vote of all trustees to agree to such a change, but in Nevada, a trust can also be changed if it is in “the best interests” of all involved. Rupert tried this reasoning and lost in court, and now he is appealing to get the change approved.

If he loses, it is rumored that he will sell out. The ghost of Thomas Jefferson forbid if George Soros could somehow get hold of the Fox enterprise.
