The Wall Street Journal is reporting in today’s edition that President Trump, in a call with the Ukrainian Premier this past week, enquired of Zelensky how capable his people were of taking the action — via the air, of course — to Moscow or St. Petersburg, Vladimir Putin’s stomping ground and hometown, respectively.
When asked today, before boarding Marine One on a trip to Pennsylvania, if he thought Ukraine should bomb Moscow, Trump — natch — said no.

Is Trump 45 somehow lurking behind the scenes while the ghost of Neville Chamberlain keeps whispering in his ear to sacrifice half of Ukraine to achieve “peace for our time”?
At any rate, time will tell, but it’s reassuring — if the story is true — that Trump realizes it’s going to take more than his so-called negotiating prowess to bring the Russia-Ukraine conflict to an end.
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was quick to stress that Trump “was only asking a question, not encouraging further killing,” according to the WSJ report.
That, of course, could be viewed as simply diplomatic cover while Trump 45 actually and finally flexes his muscles on the world stage vis-a-vis Russia.
