President Trump and crew couldn’t have devised a better sequel to the iconic movie “Office Space” [pictured] than in its imposition of a new regulation that makes it easier to say bye-bye to useless — and often policy-sabotaging — workers. It was a brilliant move and perhaps the best step yet by Trump to defang the Demofiends working in the Deep State — by getting rid of them!
The issuance of this new regulation by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) eliminates an appeal mechanism for some 50,000 top-level employees. Until now, terminated or disciplined employees in the upper ranks could lodge a complaint with a review panel. That panel — natch — consists of Deep State far-leftists, who almost always side with the aggrieved employee.
The elimination of appeals for these employees is the Trumpian response to how they have long refused to follow the president’s policies, and worse, to thwart those policies so they don’t go into existence as envisioned, if at all.
Explained OPM Director Scott Kupor in an interview with the Wall Street Journal: “People can’t be conscientious objectors in the workforce in a way where it interferes with their ability to carry out their mission. When conscientious objection becomes sabotage or trying to find ways to thwart the objectives of the administration, that is not allowed.”
I can envision the huddled Deep-State lifers plotting some kind of revenge. Welcome to “Office Space II.”
