Charlie Kirk Memorialization Takes Center Stage as Hypocritical Fox News Plans All-Day Coverage
Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist and college-campus debater who was taken down by an assassin at age 31, is being memorialized today in Glendale, Arizona.
When I woke up at 5 a.m. and turned on the news, huge crowds were already descending on State Farm Arena, site of his memorial service. A newscaster said lines began forming at 2 a.m., and roads leading in were clogged by 4 a.m.

Ironically, Fox News is planning all-day coverage, Fox the network that banned Tucker Carlson along with Kirk in 2023.. Carlson and Kirk were both banned for being too far right by the traditionally GOP, now left-leaning Rupert Murdoch family, owners of Fox News.

The Murdochs also sought to write off Donald Trump as a pariah to the Republican Party and its traditions.
Fox veteran Megyn Kelly, in the wake of Kirk’s assassination, was the first to call out Fox News for its hypocrisy and was later joined by ex-New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Kelly left Fox in 2017 but retained contact with insiders.
On her podcast, Kelly said: “It’s really bothering me how Fox News is talking about Charlie, like he was theirs — he wasn’t. It’s a lie. Just stop.”
According to Fox News rival Newsmax, Kirk himself lamented the ban: “I hope we can heal our relationship, because for whatever reason, it’s gone off the reservation.”
Kirk, of course, is the founder of Turning Point USA, which has become perhaps the most organized and powerful of all conservative-leaning organizations. He is also famous for his “prove me wrong” debate tours of college and university campuses, where he would open the mic to any and all opinions and then counter those he disagreed with.
Turning Point USA is now being run by Kirk’s wife, Erika, as the new CEO.
