Assassination of Charlie Kirk a Sad Reminder of the Civil War-Like Divide Threatening the U.S.

The far left won’t stop at rhetoric. Bullets are their language now: First, two attempts on Donald Trump, one that he miraculously survived by moving his head, the other thwarted by alert Secret Service.

Now, conservative spokesman Charlie Kirk has taken a bullet to become a sacrificial lamb to the cause of the far left, which is now pretty much all of the Democrat Party.

I’ve been watching the major non-leftist news chanels with a host of spokespersons for the conservative cause reflecting on today’s assassination.

I was particularly taken by Sage Steele, the former ESPN sports reporter, with her comments about how conservatives, or even “middle Republicans” like herself, need to throw off the shroud of silence and start speaking up.

She acknowledged that speaking up can cost one one’s job. She herself went through a censorship episode at ESPN when she vocalized her opinion that Barack Obama had no right to call himself black when he was biracial.

Steele, because of her clout and contract, was able to win a lucrative settlement from ESPN, and now hosts a podcast.

As one other commentator, an associate of Kirk’s put it, “Make America Talk Again.”

As for Charlie Kirk, I had no idea how young he was or all that he had accomplished. Imagine this: He founded Turning Point USA, which has become a massive movement, when he was 18.

Sadly, he leaves behind a wife, Erika, and two children. Kirk was only 31 when a wacko leftist took his life from him.

Time for all of us on the center/right to start speaking up before leftist violence leads us to a real civil war for the second time in our history.
