The FBI is warning the public that ransom seekers are now using existing social media images and videos and tweaking them with AI to send out ramsom requests via text messages or email. Previously, and this is no doubt still an adjunct to such requests, it was widely reported that the voices of alleged victims seeking ramsoms to be freed were being AI-generated.
All this comes at a time when an AI-generated actress, going by the screenname of Tilly Norwood (pictured), is taking on such realistic filmic aspects that she may be hard to tell from the real deal, that being an actually female actress, er, actor to comply with WOKE standards.
According tot he FBI, these AI images and videos will often reveal themselves as fakes upon closer examination, through “missing tattoos or scars and inaccurate body proportions,” the agency’s warning stated. “Generative AI reduces the time and effort criminals must expend to deceive their targets.”
As for Norwood, she was created by producer Eline Van der Velden. Nowood has taken to the “stage” with videos and images on social media, but has yet to appear in any Hollywood feature films.
