As Hamas and Putin Dig in, the Answer to ‘Wherefore Art Thou, Nobel Peace Prize?’ Seems Further Out of Reach

Kuala2

Hamas is now handing off “fake” remains of deceased Israeli soldiers as it seeks time to consolidate its power in Gaza, even taking to public executions of rivals.

Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin says, in effect: “Go ahead and give Ukraine Tomahawks. It won’t matter.”

In other words, the much-ballyhooed “Eternal MidEast Peace Plan” is basically teetering on the brink of “business as usual” between Israel and Hamas, while Trump’s 24-hour plan to end the Ukraine war is still many months overdue.

John Bolton, former Trump National Security Advisor turned CNN commentator — and now Trump arrestee — pins most of Trump’s initiatives around the globe on his desire to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

I don’t think Bolton is wrong, although Trump also sees value in peace when it comes to international commerce.

As for the Trump Gaza plan, details call for an international security force to maintain order in Gaza, but as it turns out, no Arab or Muslim nation wants to be seen as doing Israel’s dirty work against Hamas.

While on his recent Asia tour, Trump did stop in Malaysia for a photo op to take credit for the Kuala Lumpur Peace Accord between Thailand and Cambodia (pictured).

Was anyone from the Nobel Prize Committee paying attention?
